ArcNext does not sync automatically. Export a JSON backup before changing devices, repairing your phone, or deleting the app.

Export a backup

  1. Open Account
  2. Select Back Up Records
  3. Confirm the number of records and choose Export
  4. Choose Files, cloud storage, or another safe destination from the iOS share sheet
  5. Keep the exported JSON file in a safe place

Restore a backup

  1. Back up the records already on the current device
  2. Select Restore Backup in Account
  3. Choose a JSON file previously exported by ArcNext
  4. Open History and confirm the restored records

Duplicates and existing records

Restore adds records from the backup to the current device. ArcNext avoids importing the same record twice, but exporting the current device first is still the safest approach.

Handle backup files carefully

A JSON backup can include practice locations and session notes. You are responsible for the destination where you save or share it. ArcNext cannot restore files created in another format.
